Why? Because we have lots of exellent jobs in China and think they are worth shouting about.
There are over 500 international schools in China serving mainly expatriate children, but also now wealthy Chinese students whose parents would like them to have an international education.
Great savings: The cost of living is typically 30-40% less than the Middle East and China schools offer comprehensive packages including flights and housing. When tax is paid at all (some packages are tax-free) it is very low, around 15% meaning you can save more money in China than you can in Dubai.
Travel: China is a huge country with cheap high speed rail links and some beautiful places to see. From the terra cotta warriors to the beaches of Yalong Bay to the Longtan valley, China is bursting with beauty that most westerners never get to see. Check out CNN's list HERE
Academic schools: Culturally, the Chinese have great respect for educational attainment. Forget wheedling answers out of sulky teens, you will find that both expatriate and Chinese students take their learning seriously. Teaching is a well respected profession in Asia, and you will find yourself treated with a degree of reverance from students and parents alike (especially if you are teaching Chinese children). Remember that Edvectus only deals with International Schools in China that teach all subjects in English, not schools that are only for teaching English, so your career will benefit along with your wallet.
