The Deputy Principal is responsible and accountable for supporting all aspects of the school and they will collaborate with the Principal, and other members of the school leadership team in the development and implementation of curriculum and programmes. He/She promotes openness, teamwork and initiative, and models the personal characteristics to be developed in students and staff by word, demeanour, and performance.
We are looking for someone who has a very good understanding of the IB and can support teachers in developing the teaching and learning to be inline with the IB philosophy. The candidate also needs to have experience in restorative care and is able to support a range of students from K-12, including neurodivergent students.Strong interpersonal skills to not only work with the students and staff, but also with the parent community who, for the most part, do not speak English. They also need to have good organisational skills as they will have a lot of different things to juggle. Experience in using data to drive development would also be a plus.
The school offers the Canadian school curriculum and - at secondary level - the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. The campus is one of three and was established in 2017. They follow the Southern hemisphere school calendar running from January through to December.
