We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Science Curriculum Coordinator to join a supportive, welcoming, and successful team. As a Group Curriculum Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum development and quality assurance processes across all campuses. This role requires strong leadership and teamwork skills to ensure effective communication, strategic planning, and continual improvement in teaching and learning. You will also play a key role in professional development, data analysis, and resource management, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and goals. This post includes a teaching load that may be a Fixed Schedule, Substitution, or a combination of both. The teaching load is up to 40% of the total working load.
This is a certified position that requires you to have a recognised teaching qualification. Please note that you must have the following qualifications to be considered:
Bachelors or Masters in Education or
Relevant degree (minimum 3-year Bachelor degree in an relevant subject) and a post-graduate qualification in education (PGCE, IPGCE, Teaching Now/Ready) and/or a teaching license from a national/state accreditation board.
This position is not open to candidates without the above qualifications.
Furthermore, we are looking for candidates who:
Have proven success in teaching Science in a UK Curriculum school with at least 5-years' general experience.
Have previous leadership and management experience within a Science department (preferred).
Have knowledge and understanding of current developments in a Science teaching and also of relevant wider educational issues.
Have an ability to work hard under pressure and as a positive team member; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; commitment to continuous improvement and development.
Show a willingness to embrace our VAS core values.
Has real enthusiasm for their subject and a commitment to teaching.
Recognises the value of learning beyond the classroom in enhancing the understanding and experience of the world in which we live.
