We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Music and Performing Arts Teacher to join one of Malaysia’s leading international schools. As part of this role, you will be working with the renowned Juilliard School in New York as the school teach Performing Arts subjects in conjunction with the Juilliard Creative Classroom program. You will receive full training in this both online and in-person from Juilliard specialists who visit the school several times a year.
The department is well resourced with two mirrored studio rooms and a large, well resourced, dedicated theatre space with a full-time technician. With 6 specialists, students can currently opt to take Drama & Music at IGCSE and A-Level. The school have introduced a Dance curriculum programme for the new academic year for students in Years 7&8. In the future they hope to expand this to also offer Dance qualifications at GCSE and A-Level.
We are looking for candidates with a university degree in Music, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the British curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

PGCE or Equivalent – Essential
A creative and enthusiastic approach both inside & outside of the classroom- Essential
Ability to work as part of a team – Essential
Experience in staging events – Desirable
Experience teaching KS3 Music – Essential
Experience teaching IGCSE Music – Desirable

Competent piano skills in order to accompany IGCSE pupils – Desirable
