Secondary English Language & Literature AP Teacher - Huizhou China - August 2025

This international school is seeking an AP English language and literature Teacher to join them in August 2025. This school believes students can achieve authentic learning through robust challenges. From middle school onwards, students engage in advanced coursework, setting high expectations while establishing a solid foundation in core subjects, revisiting and reinforcing concepts in greater depth each year to prepare for entry into honors and Advanced Placement levels starting in ninth grade. As an AP English Language and Literature teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, deepening students' understanding of the subject while preparing them for success in AP testing.

All applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject (many teachers at this school hold multiple advanced degrees in their field), a minimum of two years teaching experience as the lead teacher of record in a classroom (this is a requirement to obtain a working visa), an eagerness and willingness to collaborate with and elevate teaching colleagues (teachers at this school come from all over the world and bring a wide variety of curricular backgrounds and experience), and high academic standards and a desire to make a difference in the rigour of international education.
