We are looking for a Secondary Business Studies Teacher with A level experience to join them in August 2025. This position is with an established school in Hong Kong which provides an education based on the English National Curriculum enhanced by their unique international context. The school caters for pupils from Early Years (age 3-5), and through Primary School (age 6-11) and Secondary School (age 12-18). This rapidly growing school has over 1000 students and 200 staff situated on three very well resourced campuses.
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and successful Secondary School Business teacher who is willing to commit to working in a stimulating and dynamic international educational environment. The successful candidate is likely to be expected to teach BTEC Level 2 or Level 3 (International specification with no exams). This is an exciting time to join the school as the Secondary phase and Humanities department are expanding, offering opportunities for growth and development within the school.
To be considered, it is essential to have:
A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role;
A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Business or a closely related field;
A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
Experience teaching (I)GCSE, BTEC and/or A Level Business to a high quality. (applications from IB Business teachers will also be accepted).
It is desirable to have:
Experience teaching A Level Economics, BTEC Travel & Tourism and/or other Humanities subjects;
A master’s or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
Experience working with EAL students (English as an Additional Language);
Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level.
All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.
