We are looking for an experienced Primary & Secondary Visual Arts Teacher to teach students of various grade levels in the area of art, and be responsible for cultivating a student’s sense of aesthetics, appreciation of artistic works, explore both 2-D and 3-D art, develop students’ techniques and use of various media, and use project and experiment-based approaches to discover colour, form, proportion and other artistic principles. The teacher will be passionate about harnessing the students’ imagination and creativity while helping them to enjoy and complete artistic projects and activities. Motivational teaching skills are required to help students relate art in their daily lives, and to appreciate other artists’ work, and enjoy the process of creating art, differentiating activities to ensure all levels of skill are catered for. The classroom projects and curriculum will be global in perspective to include artistic areas of the world throughout various time periods. The teacher will be aware of the intersection between fine art, design, graphics, science and technology and ask students to explore these intersections, looking at all art disciplines, from painting to architecture.
This is a shared positon for the Bilingual and International Schools which are both located in the same downtown campus. The role holder will be mainly responsible for delivering the art courses in the bilingual primary school division and the international secondary school division. The bilingual primary school follows a combined national and IB curriculum whereas the international secondary school follows the IGCSE and A-level curriculum.
Candidates should have the following education, skills and experience:
- Minimum three years’ education experience
- A qualified with at least a Bachelor's degree in Arts or Arts Education, and a teaching certificate where applicable
- Child focused – warm, caring and supportive

- Team player – collaborative, adaptable, positive and flexible
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Professional Experience (preferred)
- IB experienced
- High level of IT skills and experience in integrating IT with teaching

- Experience in differentiating teaching techniques
