Edvectus is delighted to partner with Pamoja Education to lead their recruitment of qualified Educators who will be facilitating learning online with students globally. Pamoja is the first and only IB approved course provider for online delivery.
As a Pamoja teacher, you are not expected to create curriculum content; all the course content, tasks, and resources are set in advance. This allows our teachers to focus on connecting with their global class of students, offering personal developmental feedback.
Pamoja Education is looking for teachers who are not only experts in their subject matter, but who are also empathetic and patient. Pamoja teachers need to be flexible and adaptable to working in various systems, and with students from different backgrounds. Applicants should be committed to embracing and modelling the IB learner profile.
Pamoja's IB Diploma Programme (DP) Courses operate to a 33-week timetable in Year 1, and a 29-week timetable in Year 2. Pamoja teachers oversee a class of approximately 20 to 25 students. The working hours require a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, per class; this includes time for preparation, review, teaching and marking. It is completely feasible for existing full or part time teachers to also teach online with Pamoja.
Requirements:
We are seeking highly experienced and competent IB French Teachers (Please note there are posts to teach both French B and French Ab Initio Classes):
1. Educated to a minimum of degree level, or equivalent, with an appropriate teaching qualification
2. Has completed a full two-year IB DP cycle within the last three years
3. Those who have additional experience (IB examiners in their subject, Extended Essay supervisors for example) are particularly welcome to apply
4. Must have sufficient spoken English skills and demonstrate strong written English abilities. Ability to speak and write another language fluently is an asset.
5. Is able to confidently use Microsoft Office and its associated programmes
6. Able to work virtually and autonomously to meet deadlines, with excellent organisational and time management skills
7. Strong technical skills
8. Strong, stable internet connection
Applicants can be based anywhere in the world - we are currently particularly keen to hear from IB teachers in North and South America.
Salary:
Pamoja offer competitive compensation based on class size and subject, with earnings ranging from $5,016–$9,900 USD per year for a full class of approximately 25 students.
