This international school in Chongqing China is looking for a Lower Primary specialist, with a preference for STEAM curriculum experience.

They are looking for candidates with the following education, skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Teaching certification (PGCE, state certification, or equivalent)
• 3-5 years of Primary teaching experience or above
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England
• International school teaching experience preferred
• Background in EAL or additional language teaching advantageous
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Experience integrating technology in teaching practices
• Team player with a passion for inclusive and stimulating education

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. The school also provides airfare (for teacher only), housing, medical insurance (for teacher and dependants), and professional development.

The school offers a co-educational, international education (based on the English national curriculum, leading to IGCSE exams and then the IB Diploma) to pupils from pre-school up to aged 18. Instruction is in English, and Chinese (which is given equal importance) - a bilingual curriculum and the school has Western and Chinese co-principals and Western teachers co-teaching with Chinese teachers. There is also a wide variety of co-curricular activities on offer.

Chongqing is a large city west of Shanghai and about 4 hours south-east of Chengdu. Along with Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin, the city is under the direct control of the central government and not governed as part of a province. Chongqing is easily accessible to the rest of China and has an international airport and three train stations. Within the city itself, there is a rapid transport system that includes a monorail and subway system. There is plenty to see and do in Chongqing including the Three Gorges Museum, a cable car ride over the Yangtze River, a Yangtze River cruise, Hot Springs (such as the Northern Hot Springs Park, Tianci Hot Springs and Southern Hot Springs Park), as well as a large selection of shops, restaurants and bars to experience. Outside Chongqing, notable tourist attractions are Dazu Rock Carvings three hours west, Dafo Temple - about two hours north of Chongqing, Fengdu Ghost Town which is about three hours north-east of Chongqing, Wanzhou Qinglong Waterfall and Three Natural Bridges.
